月下独酌/Wine in the Moonlight

月下独酌 (李白)

花间一壶酒，独酌无相亲。

举杯邀明月，对影成三人。

月既不解饮，影徒随我身。

暂伴月将影，行乐须及春。

我歌月徘徊，我舞影零乱。

醒时同交欢，醉后各分散。

永结无情游，相期邈云汉。

 

Wine in Moonlight (Li Bai)

A pot of wine among flowers, no soulmate to drink with.  

Raise a cup invite the moon, with my shadow we are three.  

The moon knows not of wine, my shadow probes not of life.

But now they drink with me, for we must enjoy spring’s night. 

The moon wanders with song, my shadow scatters with dance. 

Awake we rejoice together, drunk we leave each other.

So let us roam forever, to reunite on the starry aether.
